The inaugural edition of Exercise Tiger Claw 2025, a landmark joint training exercise between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the United States Air Force (USAF), concluded recently at the Garud Regimental Training Centre.

Held from May 26 to June 10 at various locations in North India, this exercise marked the first independent bilateral engagement of Special Forces between the two Air Forces. Its primary goals were to strengthen cooperation, enhance mutual understanding, and improve interoperability in the field of special operations.

During the two-week engagement, elite units from the IAF's Garud Commandos and USAF Special Tactics teams participated in intense joint training activities. These activities included tactical drills, mission planning, hostage rescue scenarios, and high-altitude operations, with a strong focus on sharing best practices and improving coordination within complex operational environments.

According to the IAF, Exercise Tiger Claw 2025 represents a significant advancement in the growing defence partnership between India and the United States, especially in the area of airborne special operations. The successful execution of this exercise highlights the shared commitment of both nations to maintain regional security and develop advanced operational synergy.
