India-Mongolia joint military exercise ‘Nomadic Elephant 2025’ concludes in Ulaanbaatar

The 17th edition of the Joint Military Exercise Nomadic Elephant 2025 between the Indian Army and the Mongolian Armed Forces concluded with a formal closing ceremony held at the Special Forces Training Centre in Ulaanbaatar.

According to the Indian Army, the two-week-long exercise focused on enhancing interoperability and coordination between the two forces in conducting counter-terrorism and sub-conventional operations in semi-urban and mountainous terrain. Troops from both nations trained alongside each other, sharing best practices, tactical expertise, and fieldcraft techniques in complex operational environments.

The closing ceremony featured a display of tactical drills and a cultural exchange, symbolising the strong military-to-military engagement and mutual respect between the two countries.

Nomadic Elephant 2025 reflects the deep-rooted strategic partnership between India and Mongolia, underscoring their shared commitment to promoting regional peace, stability, and security. It also reaffirms the growing defence cooperation between the two nations and their joint efforts in combating transnational threats.

The exercise continues to serve as a key platform for fostering professional bonds, trust, and interoperability between the Indian Army and the Mongolian Armed Forces.
