The Indian Army contingent proudly participated in the Opening Ceremony of Exercise Khaan Quest 2025, a multinational peacekeeping field training exercise being hosted in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The exercise brings together military forces from across the globe to foster mutual understanding, enhance interoperability, and strengthen capabilities in peace support operations under the United Nations mandate.
The opening ceremony was inaugurated by Major General Ganbyamba Sunrev, Chief of General Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces. Senior dignitaries, including India’s Defence Secretary, the Ambassador of India to Mongolia, and Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh, Director General Operational Logistics & Strategic Management (DG OL & SM), were present at the event, underscoring India’s commitment to strengthening regional and global defence partnerships.
Khaan Quest, co-sponsored by the Mongolian Armed Forces and the United States Indo-Pacific Command, has evolved into a key platform for multinational collaboration in peacekeeping and humanitarian assistance. The exercise provides a unique opportunity for participating contingents to share experiences, refine operational procedures, and enhance their readiness for UN peacekeeping operations.
India's participation reflects the Indian Army’s steadfast dedication to global peace and security, as well as its constructive role in international military cooperation. As one of the largest contributors to United Nations peacekeeping missions, the Indian Army continues to engage actively in multinational exercises to promote regional stability and operational synergy.
